THE
CLUB
The club was formed in 1992 by a bunch of football crazy (dedicated) enthusiasts making PDP their home. The members were a mixed group from different strata's of society. They have formed a strong bond till date. The only purpose of the club was to enjoy playing football. And when they played football they played it hard & competitive. But once the game ended they were the best of friends. The team was called KICKBUTT which reflected the fun as well as their commitment to win.
ALL PLAY
Membership is easy all one needed to do was come and play. Contribution is taken every quarter to pay for the ground
Kickbutt played 4 times a week (Wednesday & Friday 7:30 am ; Saturday & Sunday 5:30 pm) until 2004, when they gave up the morning times. There were extremely talented and then there were those that can barely kick the ball but were willing to learn. All are welcome. Players from England, France, Saudi, Korea, Russia, USA, Israel, Austria, Czech, etc played with us and helped improve our game. The club has had over 1000 members in the past years, some have retired due to injury, some have got busy with their work & some have moved to another country but whenever they find time / return to Mumbai they play football with us.
When the grounds under go repair, the games are shifted to other grounds such as Islam Gymkhana & Karnatak Sports. Football never stops.
ONE FOR ALL, ALL FOR ONE
