PIFA International Camp in India - 2007

The camp was conducted by Gary Lewis & Peter Tickle both highly qualified and licensed FA/ UEFA coaches from Inspire Academy, England


Oct 29 - Nov 1 @ Unison World School, Dehra Dun (Only Girls camp) 

PIFA kicked off the first of the three camps organised in 2007 in India. The first all girls PIFA football camp was hosted by Unison World School, Dehra Dun.  48 girls participated at this beautiful campus. The coaches were impressed by the improvement the girls made during the camp. 


Nov 3 - Nov 6 @ Karnatak Sports, Cross Maidan, Mumbai

The Karnataka camp in Mumbai began on 3 November. PIFA Director returned successfully from his UEFA coaching assessment to join the PIFA team. The older boys were trained  UEFA A licensed coach Gary Lewis like he would do at the Everton Youth academy. Coach Peter got the younger children to dribble & pass with various exciting sessions. The sessions have helped develop the children's ability to think on & off the ball. Ten children who topped the PIFA Skills Contest benefited from this camp thanks to Dr Francis Saldhana generosity.

Skills winner for the camp was Aryaan Sood with 760 points.


Nov 7 - Nov 10 @ St Andrews, Bandra, Mumbai 

The St Andrews camp in Mumbai was held from 6-10 November. 47 children including 3 girls participated at this camp.  The children learnt to shoot, pass, control & dribble. The children learnt the right technique and used them in the mini leagues. 

The camps ended with PIFA Director felicitating the 2 boys of India U-16 team Harshad Meher & Ajith Bhoir with a cheque for Rs 5,000 each from PIFA Foundation. They returned from the AFC championship tournament in Saudi Arabia, unbeaten. Both boys are from PIFA.

Skills winner for the camp was Calvin Lobo with 770 points.
